We’ve just expanded our Norwood, MA campus and we need more help! We are located next to Norwood Regional airport, just 30 minutes south of Boston and 30 minutes north of Providence RI, our opening is for a:
CNC Programmer
Our team needs someone with a minimum of 3 yrs. experience in Programming CNC Vertical Milling Machines (VMC) and Horizontal Milling Machine (HMC). Sound knowledge working with different material like Aluminum solids and extrusion, Copper, Stainless Steel.
Some of the skills we’d like you to have include:
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and meet established goals/objectives.
- Strong command of machine parts including holding and or building fixtures for parts on the machine.
- Proficient with CAM / CAD software and Microsoft Office. Strong Knowledge of MasterCAM, Solidworks™& Cimco Editor is preferred, but not required.
- Strong understand of speed and feed rates that are required to machine different types of materials and selection of tool
And your core responsibilities will include:
- Create programs for all new parts that are required.
- Modify adjust existing / old programs of parts to ensure parts are machined accurately.
- Identify raw material / tools needed to run every production batch
- Train / Work with Set-up personal / Operator to ensure the parts are run accurately / efficiently depending on the batch size
- Make rapid prototypes for samples as needed (Less than 50 pieces)
- Make tools / fixtures to optimize production runs (Greater than 50 pieces)
- Work with the team when developing new product lines.
- Ensure the machines are maintained and trigger preventive maintenance as needed.
- Ensure effective implementation of all ATS Quality Management System policies, procedures and processes and participate in ATS quality initiatives for continual QMS improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management personnel.
Base Salary; Benefit Plan Eligibility following thirty (30) of employment.
